“There are moments that I’ve had some real brilliance, you know. But I think they are moments. And sometimes, in a career, moments are enough.”—Dennis Hopper (1936 - 2010) (via lapetitecoccinelle) (via catsolen)

This might make me sound like a hippy but I love seeing (in real life or in art) what things would look like if nature was allowed to take over. I was riding the train out of NYC the first time I realized it. Along the tracks was a system of power poles. They were toppled over, the wires still attached. Some of them were submerged in water. All of them were being over taken by plant life. I appreciated that someone in New Jersey decided that it wasn’t in the budget to get rid of these things. It was really nice to see nature winning.
