“Try to hold back on sharing all of your emotions today. You don’t have to share every little thought you have with every person you meet in order to make connections with people. Let your feelings sit inside your heart for a while. Mull them over. This process of thinking before you speak is something you think you already do, but to what extent? Your growing tendency to blurt things out has caused you some embarrassment — and that needs to be changed, don’t you think?”—
The mails themselves were perhaps not up to the woman’s waking standard; each was in a random mix of upper and lower case characters, badly formatted and containing odd expressions. I’ve decided to create another blog. It will be image based. No words (with the exception of descriptions and credits). Music posts will be limited to cover songs. Images and videos cannot stray from the appearance of the page. No mish-mash. A streamlined, organized collection of single daily posts.
I have yet to see this, but trust me, I’ve been waiting to see it since I was mocking the disabled. The video for, “Hole In My Heart” by Cyndi Lauper was a typical mash up of the movie so I guess you could say it sufficed. I’ll let you know when I see it and and what I think of it.
This is my Uncle Tom. He’s a drummer. My siblings and I would spend days at a time over at his house when we were kids. My uncle is a big part of who I am today. He introduced me to DEVO and tons of movies that are still on my “favorites” list (“The Shining”, “Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure”, “Alien”, etc.). He took us out in the desert to watch Hayley’s Comet pass the earth through a telescope. It only happens every 75 years!
The dancer in the video is Uncle Tom’s then girlfriend, now wife, Sandy.
I saw this movie a bunch when I was a kid. It’s an HBO original, which explains why. Around that time we had rigged cable. It’s also how I saw, “Poltergeist” for the first (and second and third and eleventh) time.
"Fortress" scared me more. I think it was the children in peril and definitely the masks.
“The Character Chronicles” is a series of short character studies that I did at the request of artist, Kathy Leisen. This third and last installment is sub-titled, “88 T-bird”. Go for it. You can find the rest of the series here, at “You Don’t Want To Go In There”.
